For Texas educators, it is a good idea to know when the law is on your side. I learned about Chapter 37 from one of the state professional organizations (TSTA), and usually find that educators are unaware of it. I searched all of TSTA’s website, and it only says they’ll run a workshop on Chapter 37, but doesn’t give any resources on the site. The TEA website has info, though: TEA – Chapter 37 / Safe Schools
TSTA, please post your packet, “How To Permanently Remove Disruptive Or Abusive Students From Classrooms,” because your prominent copyright notice on each page dissuaded me from posting it — even though teachers need to know about it.
